Hello!
My name is Candice A. Morris and I live here in the Birmingham area. I have a beautiful four year old son named Kameron. I currently work in the Birmingham City School System where I have been for the last three years. This is my first year teaching both a fourth and fifth grade reading class, as I am use to teaching a self contained fifth grade class.
This is my first time attempting an online class, but so far so good! I plan to finish my master's at the end of this year and then later pursue the area of education administration.
I don't really know if I'm particularly into technology the way the rest of the world is these days, but I do enjoy the technology provided to me at my new school. We have equipment that blows me away like the Promethean Board. This board is full of interactive play for the students to be apart of the lessons, gives me countless hours of enhancers for lessons, and seems to be the way of the world right now.
I enjoy writing poetry and have even submitted two pieces to be published a few years ago! I look forward to learning about technology and how to use it in education during this course, and I'm sure I'll learn that I am waaay behind the times still ;-)
